Week 26

I now understand what the term “pregnancy brain” really means!!! Between forgetting to turn my car off when I am getting out (luckily I am remembering to put it in park), doing a load of laundry without putting any clothes in, and forgetting if I did normal day to day tasks, I just have to laugh!   Not to mention the fact that I couldn't remember if this was week 25 or 26!  Does pregnancy brain also include klutziness…I think so!  Between spilling my drink all over my pants, dropping a huge glass jar lid, and running into just about everything, I am lucky I am still standing!

We had our doctor appointment this week!  We are still in good shape!  I am measuring normal and the baby’s heartbeat is 148.  I just went for my glucose blood work and am praying that I don’t have to do the three hour retest!  Fingers crossed!  We are now starting to go to the doctor's every three weeks instead of four…very exciting!!!

Week
updates...
  1. Maternity Clothes: I actually broke out some of my regular shirts and was happily pleased to see that I could still squeeze into them!
  2. Stretch Marks:  No…skin is starting to get tighter though!
  3. Sleep: The back saga continues…it is probably the worse it has been.  Oh well…it is all worth it!
  4. Miss Anything?: Sleeping…this may be a blessing in disguise though, because I usually need my eight hours of sleep to function…I know that won’t be happening when the baby comes!
  5. Movement: Every kick brings a smile to my face!
  6. Food Cravings:  Most things sweet…
  7. Anything making you queasy or sick? No
  8. Showing yet?  I think I’m going to get rid of this question…oh yeah!
  9. Gender: I'm getting more people thinking boy...vote for what you think over to the left!
  10. Mood: I have to admit, a little hormonal…and I am not a hormonal person!  I hit Eli in the eye with his ball on a mistake when I was playing catch with him and I was crying when I saw his swelled up sad face!
  11. Labor Signs: No…thank god!  Praying that I can have a smooth ending!
  12. Symptoms:  A little bit of skin discoloration and freckles that have appeared.  Charlie horses have pretty much subsided (thanks for the water advice ladies!)
  13. Looking Forward to: Seeing what the baby looks like.  We are so anxious to see!  Will the baby get my dimples?  Jeff’s skin?  As long as he/she is healthy, we are happy!

Week 25

Chalkboard design and photography by my nephew Josh...he rocks!
Jeff was away for a week or so.  We missed him so much!  Eli, of course, gave me a run for my money!  He was very sad and depressed the whole time.  He was feeling under the weather and that made me so sad and stressed!  If this is how I am getting over my dog, I can’t imagine how I am going to feel when our little baby is sick!  Of course, when Jeff got back, Eli miraculously perked up and was back to his old ways!  Gotta love him!

Eli after being caught getting into the third box of tissues this summer! Seriously?!

I am so proud of my husband for never giving up on his dreams and always going for what he believes in!  I learn a lot from him about this.  Although he did not win the WSOP, he will always be a winner in our eyes!

Week 24

Thank you to my stepsister Brandi for coming over to take some pictures of us!  Here are a few that you will soon see in my header!

As I reflect back on the past several weeks, I am overwhelmed with all of the lunch and dinner dates I had! I was able to visit and catch up with friends and family near and far!  I am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life and feel so happy that I can share all of this joy with them.  Jeff and I are very lucky people!

The baby is growing quickly (could be from all the lunch and dinner dates).  We were watching the Olympics one night while eating Peanut Butter Crunch, and I couldn't help but scream as I was rooting for Sanya Richards-Ross in her race.  I couldn't believe how strong the kicks got!  I literally jumped several times...could it be a future soccer player?  Maybe it was the PB Crunch.  Actually what am I thinking...baby Joseph is definitely going to be a future 49ers kicker if Jeff had any say!

Week 23 went so fast!  The baby's kicks are absolutely amazing.  I actually can see my stomach move when the baby is kicking!  I feel the kick and hope for just one more...just one more!  I have started the nesting phase.  I am realizing that there is a lot to be done!
