Week 20

We are on the last leg of our Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas WSOP vacation.  It has been a great babymoon and I was able to do a lot of R&R.  We were able to get to the pool, the spa, the gym, eat some really good food and of course watch and play a lot of poker!  We saw some really good shows...our favorite was Absinthe.  Jeff also surprised me with a helicopter ride over Las Vegas to watch the fireworks!  We had the best seat in the house!  I finally decided to play a slot machine two days before departure and actually won!  I think the baby is definitely my lucky token!  Though Jeff did not cash or win, he was able to take part in the world's biggest poker tournament (his dream).  I am so proud of him and the way he played.  No regrets!  We are looking forward to getting home and starting on all the fun stuff we get to do to prepare for lil Joseph. We have to figure out a nursery theme, shower theme, figure out what we need for a baby (this is all new to us), read up on parenting, and take some classes!  I am so lucky that Jeff is so hands on and will be right by my side for each and every step!  We are so excited!!!

Our baby is the size of a banana!
Week
News
  1. Maternity Clothes:  I am having one of those weeks...feeling quite huge!  The maternity clothes are out in full form!
  2. Stretch Marks:  No.
  3. Sleep: My body is definitely getting me ready for many sleepless nights to come.  I can't remember the last time I slept well without any back pain.
  4. Miss Anything?  Beer...this is the last stretch of our vacation, and it isn't getting any easier watching Jeff order local favorites.
  5. Movement: Still not constant, but it makes my day every time I feel a kick!
  6. Food Cravings:  I am ready to start cooking some "real" food when I get back home....I am so done with restaurant food.  Bey's popcorn is also sounding really good about now!
  7. Anything making you queasy or sick? No
  8. Showing yet?  Yes!  I had a girl come up to me and ask me if I was pregnant (she was brave), and it felt so good to say yes!
  9. Gender: Won't know until November, but it is getting frustrating not knowing how to decorate the nursery.  Any ideas?
  10. Mood:  Happy to be getting home and starting on the long list of things we have to get done before the baby's arrival!

  1. For your back get a snoogle! Best money I ever spent! It will be a lifesaver over the next few months as you need more support for your back and your bump! You look great and I'm loving reading your blog! I better update mine soon! As for nursery themes you could do ocean, jungle, lambs/farm, garden/pond (that's what we did!), baby animals, abcs, etc. there's tons of great stuff out there but my advice is if you find a bedding set you like buy it immediately! We had 3 get discontinued on us! I'm so excited for you and if you have any questions about classes books etc. let me know!!!
