Week 26

I now understand what the term “pregnancy brain” really means!!! Between forgetting to turn my car off when I am getting out (luckily I am remembering to put it in park), doing a load of laundry without putting any clothes in, and forgetting if I did normal day to day tasks, I just have to laugh!   Not to mention the fact that I couldn't remember if this was week 25 or 26!  Does pregnancy brain also include klutziness…I think so!  Between spilling my drink all over my pants, dropping a huge glass jar lid, and running into just about everything, I am lucky I am still standing!

We had our doctor appointment this week!  We are still in good shape!  I am measuring normal and the baby’s heartbeat is 148.  I just went for my glucose blood work and am praying that I don’t have to do the three hour retest!  Fingers crossed!  We are now starting to go to the doctor's every three weeks instead of four…very exciting!!!

Week
updates...
  1. Maternity Clothes: I actually broke out some of my regular shirts and was happily pleased to see that I could still squeeze into them!
  2. Stretch Marks:  No…skin is starting to get tighter though!
  3. Sleep: The back saga continues…it is probably the worse it has been.  Oh well…it is all worth it!
  4. Miss Anything?: Sleeping…this may be a blessing in disguise though, because I usually need my eight hours of sleep to function…I know that won’t be happening when the baby comes!
  5. Movement: Every kick brings a smile to my face!
  6. Food Cravings:  Most things sweet…
  7. Anything making you queasy or sick? No
  8. Showing yet?  I think I’m going to get rid of this question…oh yeah!
  9. Gender: I'm getting more people thinking boy...vote for what you think over to the left!
  10. Mood: I have to admit, a little hormonal…and I am not a hormonal person!  I hit Eli in the eye with his ball on a mistake when I was playing catch with him and I was crying when I saw his swelled up sad face!
  11. Labor Signs: No…thank god!  Praying that I can have a smooth ending!
  12. Symptoms:  A little bit of skin discoloration and freckles that have appeared.  Charlie horses have pretty much subsided (thanks for the water advice ladies!)
  13. Looking Forward to: Seeing what the baby looks like.  We are so anxious to see!  Will the baby get my dimples?  Jeff’s skin?  As long as he/she is healthy, we are happy!
